What is the SiteWarming MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to live tools and data. Think of it as a plugin — but instead of clicking buttons yourself, your AI does it for you.

    A direct connection

Links your SiteWarming account to Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, or Grok — no copying, no setup friction. Your AI reads your portfolio in real time.

    Real commands, real results

Ask your AI to check, launch, or update your domains and it actually does it — not just suggest steps for you to do manually.

    Your data stays yours

Reading your portfolio needs no approval. Each tool that changes something is marked as a write action, so AI apps that support this ask for your confirmation before running one, unless you've told them to always allow it. Removing a domain is permanent.

Everything your portal can do — through conversation

Every action available in the SiteWarming dashboard is now available through your AI. No tabs, no clicking — just ask.

    Questions about MCP

Everything you need to know before connecting.

What is the SiteWarming MCP server?

It's a secure connection that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT read and act on your SiteWarming domain portfolio in real time. Instead of logging into a dashboard, you simply ask your AI and it handles the rest.

Is my domain data safe when I connect an AI?

Yes. You connect by signing in to SiteWarming (OAuth), so your AI never sees your password, and it can only reach the account you signed in to. SiteWarming receives only the tool requests your AI sends, not the rest of your conversation. Our Privacy Policy has a section on AI assistant connectors with the details.

What can the AI do with my portfolio?

The server has 27 tools. 13 only read: listing, searching and reporting on your domains, checking warming status, and guiding you through a launch. The other 14 make changes: launching, updating and removing domains, saving Domain Brief content, adding tracked domains, and writing DNS records at your registrar.

Does the AI make changes automatically, or do I approve them?

Each tool that changes something is marked as a write action, so AI apps that support this ask for your confirmation before running one, unless you've told them to always allow it. Removing a domain is permanent.

Does this work on the free plan?

Yes — MCP is currently in public beta and works on every plan, including Free, with no upgrade required. The Free plan warms 1 domain and tracks up to 1,000 domains; paid plans warm more of your portfolio.

Which AI tools are supported right now?

Claude (via Claude.ai and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Perplexity Pro, Gemini (via the Gemini CLI — the Gemini web app doesn't support MCP yet), and Grok (xAI, via grok.com/connectors as a custom connector) are all supported. More AI clients are on the roadmap — reach out if you'd like a specific one prioritised.

Where do I find my MCP server URL?

It's the same for everyone: https://mcp.sitewarming.com — it's also listed under Account Settings → Integrations at app.sitewarming.com. You don't need an API key; when you connect, you sign in to SiteWarming, and that links the AI to your own account.

The connection fails, or my AI keeps asking me to sign in. What do I do?

Check that the URL is exactly https://mcp.sitewarming.com and that you can sign in at app.sitewarming.com. Then remove SiteWarming from your AI's connector settings and add it again — this starts a fresh sign-in. If a tool returns an error, the message says what went wrong (for example a domain that isn't in your account). Still stuck? Email support@sitewarming.com with the AI app you use and the error you saw.

    How do I disconnect?

Remove SiteWarming from your AI's connector settings. Its access token stops being used immediately and expires on its own; nothing else in your SiteWarming account changes.
